I'm sorry but whoever wrote this clearly does not know about Xavier for next year. Put them in the power rankings wherever you'd like, but if you say that the team is bringing in no new talent besides Brandon Randolph, you aren't well-informed. You just didn't do your homework. Xavier adds transfer C Matt Stainbrook who I heard was the best big on the team last season in practice (just could not play due to transfer rules). Also, the team adds 4 star F Jalen Reynolds and 3 star G Myles Davis, both who were ineligible last season but are ready to go for 2013.

Agreed. He also clearly didn't do his homework on Butler. "Roosevelt Jones, Khyle Marshall and Kellen Dunam will run this team, but they are all perimeter players for the most part." What? Khyle Marshall is best around the basket and Roosevelt Jones can't hit from beyond 15 feet. Kellen Dunham is the 3-point threat.

That sounds about right, although I think it will be pretty competitive in the top six slots. I see us getting a minimum of five in the dance, which would Ben outstanding.

The guy also said for Creighton's Will Artino that his backup would be a very seldomly used walk on. That is definitely not the case.

Pre-Summer Big East POWER RANKINGS

Pre-Summer Big East POWER RANKINGS

1. Marquette Golden Eagles

It’s unlikely that anyone was tagging Marquette as a serious Final Four contender if Vander Blue had returned for his senior season, but their chances of reaching the third weekend of the NCAA Tournament would have been much higher if he did. Nonetheless, the Golden Eagles return big men Davante Gardner and Chris Otule, along with Todd Mayo to run the point and Jamil Wilson as a stretch forward. Juan Anderson has also elected to return to the team after contemplating transferring. That’s an already solid group that will allow Marquette to contend in the Big East, but they are also welcoming the best recruiting class in the conference and the 11th best in the country per ESPN.

"Look for this upcoming Big East season to be filled with parody."

Yep. Just like this entire article is a parody... Credibility of the whole piece lost right there. (Or should I say "of the hole peace lost write their.")
