What's wrong with Jay Mohr? ...so he's a comedian, he put in his due before landing a national sports radio show. That they're moving him to FS1 suggests he's been a success for them thus far. His interviews with Buzz Williams have been entertaining and interesting.

Mohr is probably caomparable to several of the ESPN personalities that don't do anything for me, simply talking heads filling air time but Regis Philbin. That's bottom of the barrel material there...just shows how much air time there has to be to look to an 80 something Philbin.

Philbin was almost certainly not about filling air time but rather drawing attention from the general public. It's a panel show that he hosts, anyways, so if he's just moderating it might not be bad.

the great thing about radio and tv is you just switch to another station and that's exactly what I'd be doing if I came across either but even Dan Patrick or Mike & Mike caliber shows I might listen for a couple of minutes to see what they're discussing but I find the formats not very entertaining and I know I wouldn't tune into Regis or Mohr...maybe they'll reach down and try Olberman.

Either way, whether you like Philbin or not, everyone who cares about the Big East really needs to switch from ESPN to Fox Sports 1 starting in August. No longer will I be watching Sportscenter and instead will be solely watching Fox Sports Live. The success of Big East will be highly dependent on how successful Fox Sports 1 (and 2) are.

Absolutely correct. We need to make FS1 relevant in any way we can.
