...Creighton was the stronger addition and widely predicted as the 10th.

Oh hell, i'll take the bait, Stronger....... maybe... better positioned .... lets ask Marquette's Board of Trustees
(that ought to stir up some Bluejays )
Sometimes I feel like they might have already been revoked. I hear very little from Marquette's southern rivals(yeah we are supposed to be rivals, ask most students and they will say really?). Just poking a little fun.BillEsq wrote:I think if DePaul would have championed NIU's case their speaking privileges would have been revoked.

As far as your other points we are more than a month away from July 1. (THE DEADLINE) Where the BE will have to make some sort of decisions known. There have been rumors, Seton Hall AD rumors- a few newspaper articles. (hence the starting point of this thread. I don't think you will get quite the same coverage now as you did before the NCAA tourney will all sports news resources were focused on college basketball so you just have to look a little harder for the rumors (like on the first page of this thread, its tough but its sacrifices we all must make.)

Obviously the NIU comment was not to be taken seriously but there are NIU people on Depauls board.

My sentence is exactly correct. I said "If they wanted to make sure they were the best non football conference hands down" (which I know they do) they would have destroyed the A10. Quite honestly the A10 is the only competition for that title, especially with Creighton out of the MVC. The only people who think that the Big East did not announce team 11 and 12 just yet even though they already know who they are going to be, are the ones whose teams didn't get in and they are saying that to have something to hold on to. It has nothing to do with not wanting to hurt the A10. They could give two crappolas about the A10.
Believe what you want. The reason the league is at 10 and not 12 is because they have no idea who teams 11 and 12 are.

By reading your language you are stating that by not expanding to 12 and destroying the A-10 that the BE's goal is not to be the best non football conference, as in order to be the best non football conference they would have destroyed the A-10. So ... your saying that the BE should expand to 12. I'm so confused - must have more fiber.
