Not sure if this has been discussed on here. Interesting list. It clearly doesn't reflect current value but it's at least an interesting historical reference.

I really wonder what ESPN used as a criteria...

somehow Liberty got rated higher than St. Louis. Actually the more i look at the rankings the less it makes sense. It doesn't seem to reflect Titles, NCAA appearances, attendance, SOS, or really anything... on a side note the Western Kentucky and Murray state fans are pretty happy with their ranking.

Not all time, but since the early 60's. The points for conference titles are ridiculous, though, I get it for major conferences but not weak conferences. You want to find teams wildly out of place look for teams that have racked up conference titles outside of major conferences. Look at VCU one spot ahead of Virginia, that's crazy. Not that Virginia is great, but one of them had a distinct advantage piling up points in conference titles, CAA vs ACC. Regular season title in any conference equivalent to a Sweet Sixteen... Ivy league dominance lands two teams in the top 25, while all the others are outside the top 250.

this all makes more sense now... I swear ESPN pumps out some of the most useless crap...
