Although no major expansion plans are expected to be announced, the group is expected to announce that it has reached an agreement with the remaining Big East schools to leave the league a year earlier than originally stated, with a start-up date of July 1, 2014, rather than July 1, 2015.

If that's the case there's only 6 football schools left and that's not enough for a league. At that point I'm sure Rutgers and Louisville try to sneak out the back door to their new homes a year early. The other 4 are up the proverbial creek. Do the Holy 7 stick with those 4 for a year or do we start our new league in the fall? Certainly not out of the question this could happen. Hopefully the powers-that-be are ready.
