Well if you need just one Lacrosse team. Bellarmine is currently 6-1 with only a close loss to Loyola Maryland .... ;)
I'll get a team into this BE one way or another...

St. Louis still seems like a likely addition to 12. Big city plus connecting the Creighton island are nice pluses. With one surprise unknown I would still expect St. Louis to paired with them.

What has changed from yesterday? Not a whole lot.

no... nothing much... i still expect to see Slu in next year. We shall see though...

On a side note Slu is primed to add sports one way of the other including men's and women's lacrosse even without the influx of BE$ the AD department is in a complete renovation phase.

DeGioia brought up bringing in associate members for some sports, he specifically mentioned lax & rowing.
The Fox rep stated that they will be broadcasting a variety of BE sports, he specifically mentioned lax & baseball.
Sounds like there's going to be a push on lax, no?

There was always going to be a push on lax... It's an important sport to the Big East and a followed sport in the Northeast region.

I agree that it's booming in popularity, but they still have to bring in outside teams in order to retain the autobid.
Maybe they could entice Hopkins & Bellarmine and become a major player in lax!

Personally I'd like to see Marquette add baseball and possibly the water sports. It would be great if more schools would look into adding lacrosse, that way we wouldn't have to mess with associate members. We just added our lacrosse program, so other schools wouldn't have to catch up too much. I think the minimum number for an NCAA autobid in that sport is 7, 6 in baseball. I'm not sure about other sports.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

With Creighton as the home of the CWS baseball will grow thanks to us... and with G-Town and others great in LX Creighton, which has had a long-time club team, will prolly pick this up.

More importantly, I think ALL the nBE teams should get going on RUGBY!!! For crissake that could possibly overtake the entire country in the coming decade.

BE RUGBY! NOW! :o

I always liked the idea of rugby. A friend tried to get me to come out and play on his club team, but I never got around to it...probably for the best, I have the agility of a redwood tree.

Who, exactly, is great in lacrosse in our conference? As far as I can tell, we need associate members to have any marquee programs. It's not like they all look terrible or anything, but there's very little big time success in our programs.
