LOL is so true... such a morbid highway... nothing but tiger tails and billboards for pornshops. I'm not sure which is worse. I'd rather drive to Chicago and over. Then cross that tract.

Don't forget discount cigarette stores.

I80 and 90 are horrible (although La Crosse is the most beautiful) in the winter. I'd take a puddle jumper from Milwaukee or Chi town.

For sports? For travel, Amtrak is the way to go with Milwaukee-Chicago. It's far cheaper than flights and saves you time since in an out is much quicker. Very popular option, too, as one of the only profitable train routes left in the US. The Milwaukee connection is right off Marquette campus, and DePaul isn't too far from the line in Chicago. I wonder if the schools ever use it, they probably just bus.

Basketball markets for your consumption. Pardons if this has already been posted.

In order to get the pertinent number for someone like Fox, you take the above metered percentages and multiple it by that markets size. Simply, its great that the 273,000 people like watching basketball at a 3.5 rate; but, there's still more value in the 1.8 watching in Indianapolis 830,000. (12th in the country)

The real key is getting into Top 20 cities that show well in the CBB metered markets. The nBE does that, which is why we are going to be getting so much money.

From Jeff Goodman today. Not sure if he's just regurgitating what everyone is hearing or if he has his own sources.

The seven schools will add Xavier and Butler for the 2013-14 season, and sources told CBSSports.com that Creighton will likely be the 10th school, and could be added for next season as well.

Andy Katz posted that one of the c7 coaches was told to expect a 16 game conference season next year, which would mean no Creighton for 2013-2014 season.

It could also just as easily mean they are going with a 12 team conference from the get go.

This may be a far cry, but just to play devil's advocate... 12 teams with two divisions would be 16 games as well.

12 is far more likely than 9. a nine team conference would have one team having a buy every weekend. I mean i guess the league could rotate scheduling NJIT every week. I'm sure thats what fox had in mind when it put up 400 million.
