Luke Fischer Transferring to...

Butler, Creighton and Marquette are the three Big East schools targeting Fischer. A total of roughly 10 teams are involved.

Just tweeted saying he will not consider any Big 10 schools. If he is "homesick" I would have to think Marquette is the favorite.

Does anyone know what the rule on these transfers are for eligibility? Do they have to be full-time at the new school this semester or can they take one class at the new school to start that clock? I asume most of these mid-season transfers pay their own way for now (as most schools have used their scholarships for this year) then go on scholarship next season and become eligible at the break next season. But can they just cough up the dough for one class and make that work, assuming they have enough credits already to meet ncaa requirements? Or do they have to pay for a full-time semester?

I assume if he enrolls this spring at a school, he would be eligible to play next January midseason.

How good is Fischer supposed to be? He's getting a lot of play right now. Sometimes I think transfers get extra attention like Alex Murphy who just transferred from dook with a lot of hype too but i don't think he's THAT good.

Top 100 recruit who by the numbers seemed to be playing alright with Indiana as a freshman and he's 6'11.
