Aside: Those of us from the Providence board have been talking about how knowledgable and respectful all you guys have been so far. A far cry from dealing with fans of big, football-first schools. Kudos!

I totally agree. It's a lot better than the Big East / C7 bbs site too. Hopefully everyone can keep this level of civility once we are opponents on the court.

As a fan of what looks like the least popular option...this site is pretty civil.

If you bring in both Dayton and Xavier, then you're gonna need heavy-handed moderation to maintain the civility. Same might be true if both Richmond and VCU get in--we're pulling our punches somewhat as we're trying to make a good first impression.

Shoot, I tried to compliment Xavier in a different thread and a Xavier fan got all upset with it, then after realizing he messed up, used his apology to blame me for his mistake. Must be running for political office.

Might mean nothing...or might be a small clue....but VCU just announced the addition of women's lacrosse for the fall season of 2015.

That would put VCU with Georgetown, Marquette and Villanova as schools that sponsor women's lacrosse. If any other C7 schools or potentials announce women's lacrosse additions soon, might mean something. VCU said they did it for Title IX reasons, which very well may be the only reason. First team added since 1995.

Edit* Loyola MD is an associate member of the current Big East (private Jesuit too), so if they joined the C7 that would mean the league would need just one more team to reach the six needed.

This is actually very interested considering Loyola also has men's lacrosse and would complete that 6 as well...
