Cliff Alexander down to DePaul and Illinois

If Purnell gets him, it changes the whole program. When does that new building open?

Hi JohnT,
Is this true? This would be amazing. But the DePaul board is still talking about Memphis and Kansas still being in the mix with Illinois and DePaul. Same at Zagsblog...

Twitter was going wild with this. Most recent update says he hasn't narrowed to 2.

Wow, this would be huge if DePaul could get him. Would buy Purnell a couple more years probably.

Main source for info/rumor on CA to choose b/n Depaul & Illinois is the midwestern scout site ILPrepbullseye.com:

"Was told when Cliff Alexander announces on Nov 15 the final 2 caps on table will be Illinois & DePaul. That's "straight from the source."

Dude's been legit on plenty of other things midwest hs bball related but he's been on the defensive today:

"@IlliniNationNet @ImTaylorRooks @GoodmanESPN @GaryParrishCBS How the hell would they truly know? I tweeted what I was told--nothing more."

"BTW a quick clarification: Cliff WILL eliminate at least one more school before Nov 15. And it won't be Illinois or DePaul."

"@BenTheMaster Huh? Said I was told those would be the final 2 hats on the table--that's all."

"Folks, I NEVER SAID Kansas has been eliminated on Cliff so quit jumping the gun. Simply tweeted how things could play out based on my info."

Either way this should all play out next week. But Depaul seems to be hanging tough.

That would be an outstanding pick up for DePaul and the league. Go get 'em guys.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Would be huge. A good DePaul is really big for this league. Much luck heading your way from your Nova brethren.

A little birdie tells me that if Cliff had to choose today, it'd probably be Kansas.

But, if Jahlil Okafor commits to KU, then all bets are off.

The birdie also says that Mrs. Alexander wants Cliff to make his own decision, but if if Cliff asks, she'll be in DePaul's corner.

From a very respectable source in Hoops Hype Canada:

"HHC Sources: Okafor & Tyus Jones headed to Kansas in a package & Cliff Alexander set to choose DePaul."
