The Big East begins the Big XII Battle with a sweep as Butler knocks of Texas Tech in overtime at Hinkle and and the Jays leave no doubt in Stillwater as they trounce the Cowboys. That leaves the BEast at 15-10 against the F5 and 5-1 against the Big XII. Huge Friday night for the league. The Red Storm rolls into Morgantown to face the Mountaineers, Houston comes to Cintas for it's first taste of the Big East Battle, DePaul looks to grab a win against Iowa State, and Kansas gets another look at a Top Five team from the Big East when the Huskies face the Jayhawks. Should be a fun night and hopefully a few more wins. We are about three weeks from conference play.

Tough night for the BEast. DePaul and Xavier lose at home and UConn drops a close one at Kansas. The Big East comes away with one road win as the Johnnies win in Morgantown. The Big East - Big XII Battle is tied at three apiece with five to play - although the Big East still leads the season series against the Big XII. Tomorrow the Hoyas take on TCU and Marquette goes up against in state rival Wisconsin.
