I've really gotten tired of just how bad Depaul always is. There's never a one year uptick with them, they just flat out stink year in and year out. They come in as a double digit favorite tonight, and get beat by eight to a nobody at home. Nice way to open the season. I don't feel they have any value to the BE at all. It's hard to see how they give us a foothold in the Chicago market since they're always so terrible, it's hard to imagine anyone there caring one bit about them. All you can hope for is that they take their 0-20 during league play and don't screw things up for anyone else by having some crazy night where they actually win a league game. What a hopelessly pathetic program.

Honestly, no one expected DePaul to be a tourney team coming into the season but yeah.. this team routinely sucks every freakin year!

If DePaul doesn’t want to compete then Val and the BIG EAST need to show them the door like Temple was. No tournament appearances since 2004 is absolutely unacceptable.

Dusty May would be a slam dunk hire (FAU Head Coach) I did some quick research and he’s actually from Illinois. The university is only two hours from his hometown Peoria.

No biggie. Just need DePaul to manage 150ish or better NET OOC.

DePaul led 68-62 with 4 minutes to play, and lost 82-74. That is truly grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory.

DePaul attendance was 931 according to ESPN. Is that correct?

edit: confirmed this through the official game box score online.

as I've seen with the AAC, just can't afford to have close games with DePaul for the key teams. If you beat them enough, their NET rating won't matter realistically.
