Jays got a commitment today:

2024 4 starJackson McAndrew tells me he has committed to Creighton and Greg McDermott.

“I thought it was the best fit, especially with play style, and it will also help me get to where I want to get to as a player,” he told me.

He chose Creighton over Notre Dame, Xavier and Wisconsin.

He is the nation’s No. 48 overall prospect according to On3, No. 79 according to Rivals and No. 89 according to 247Sports. They expect his ratings to go up after this summer's play.

Let's see...

Lanky white kid from the mid-west - check
Can shoot the rock - check
Could play a real-life Billy Hoyle - check
Creighton commit - check

Congrats on the nice pick-up.

Jays - MECA Renew Vows

Postby gtmoBlue » Thu Aug 24, 2023 1:39 pm

Creighton Basketball and the Metro Entertainment & Convention Authority - Omaha (MECA) have signed a new 10-year extension to their current agreement.
MECA has been the Jays' home since 2003 - 1st as the Qwest Center, then CenturyLink Center, & now the CHI Health Center (CHICO). This extension pushes out
CU's tenancy to 2033.

The coolest part (for a local) is that they’re adding Creighton signage on the outside of the actual arena.
