Man, if Kaluma follows Nembhard to Arizona as rumored, that'd be brutal. Portal has blown up college basketball. Look at top women's players transferring to form super-teams. And you don't wanna know how many other programs have contacted our guys. Disgusting. SMH.

Out of the 5 starters Kaluma was always most likely to leave either for the draft or transfer. He's the most replaceable imo. One writer just tweeted yesterday that Kaluma is likely gone but Scheierman will stay. If we can keep Alexander along with Baylor and Kalk (who just got engaged to Creighton wbb player) i think we will be in good shape. But yeah im getting sick of Tommy Lloyd trying to poach our players....

FWIW, Christofilis and Shtolzberg are transferring closer to home as JC (from Seattle) transfers to Seattle U and BS (from LA) transfers to UC Santa Barbara

Baylor Scheierman returning for his bonus year. This was not something I imagined was possible a year ago. Great to have him back. Now waiting on Kalk and Trey.

I kinda have to respect Nate Oats and his willingness to play anyone anywhere mentality.

If you had asked me 2 weeks ago about Creighton's starting 5, I would have guessed 2 departures. If they only lose Nembhard it'd be a massive win in my book. Even if Kaluma leaves, it's a core you can selectively complete with portal players. No matter what Creighton can't afford to lose Kalkbrenner if it wants a top 10 caliber team.

Ashworth is making an announcement this afternoon which has to bode well since he was just at Creighton this weekend. Fills in pretty nicely for losing Nembhard.
