It should be interesting to see who Pitino brings in as his top assistant. That’s probably who he plans to hand the program off to if he has a successful run.

Someone on Redmen is saying he's wants Masiello

If Cooley really does leave for Georgetown, is Providence a player for Pitino?

That would be something... but I think St John's will move it quickly to get it done before Cooley left for Georgetown....

No inside info, but I believe SJU got a verbal, can't make it official until Iona's season is over.

Jon Rothstein
@JonRothstein
Sources: St. John's has parted ways with Mike Anderson.

Iona's Rick Pitino is expected to be a primary candidate to be his replacement.

The school has spent the last few weeks vetting Pitino's potential candidacy for the job.

Hearing strong indications that PC has run out of patience with Cooley having his hand out every year for his "dream job"

Espn college gameday just said Pitino to St John’s and either Cooley or Brey to Georgetown.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Goodman:

Penn State’s Micah Shrewsberry has emerged as one of the leading candidates for the Georgetown opening, source told @Stadium.

I’m told Rick Pitino is currently not under consideration.
