It was fun watching the end of the Nova victory in the stands while waiting for the Jays to tip off. Nova worried the hell out of me going forward.

Big win for Marquette. Pretty much ices the 1 seed for them in the BET. With the losses by Tennessee and Iowa St, maybe they can get up to the 3 line.

What a win. Kam with three awful mistakes late that should have cost us dearly (falling down on the inbound, missing 2 FTs and then nearly fouling on the three).

Kolek is a special player. Big gamer.

Great second half by the GWs. McDermott apologizes for crowd behavior:

I was at the game. Jays went up 12 in the first half and Mac took Kalk out, which totally stifled us and changed the momentum. Felt like we could have gone for the jugular right there.

As far as fans throwing stuff, that was nothing. They handed out blue towels for a charity program the school supports. I get that Mac needed to address it, but it wasn’t really anything.

Yeah totally agree. Thought also could have gotten a better shot at the end of the 1st half- had a chance to execute perfectly a 2 for 1 but seemed to rush that last shot.

Still not exactly the epitome of classy. If you look around and you're the only person saying "what we threw at you wasn't even a big deal" then you're still the problem. Not one other instance of another fan base throwing things at opposing benches this year.

Saw that if Marquette wins the title this year it would be the 1st regular season title ever for Shaka Smart. That's crazy.

I didn’t see anything thrown at the bench. Must’ve missed that. However, the way Shaka acted throughout the game, was a little bit classless too. Not condoning just pointing out his “act” could certainly be taken as inflammatory.

Quickly summarizing my feeling on fouls:

End game hoist by Scheierman was not a foul and should never be called a foul. The call made against Nembhard on the inbounds was maybe a foul before the entry, but it wasn’t called there. Plus, Marquette grabbed and held Nembhard damn near every inbound play in the second half and was never once whistled. So which is it? Are we “letting them play”, or calling it tight? Can’t have it both ways. At the end of regulation at PC, Trey literally had Hopkins grabbing his arm at half court to the point that he pulled him beyond the mid court line and nothing was called. Consistency seems to be the overriding concern.

Anyway, moving on.
