We are told Porter Moser is doing everything he can to get the Notre Dame job and that ND is equally interested.

on the face of it, that would make a ton of sense.

Moser and ND would be a perfect fit. Other interesting coaching jobs should be opening up. Holtmann is almost definitely going to be out at Ohio st. and they have money, wonder where they will turn? Georgetown will also be open, and they can have Pitino if they want him, but wonder if instead they make a push for Cooley? I think Georgetown is a job he would consider, what do you think Billyjack? Texas will have a ton of money available, and wonder if they go after Oats, who probably has a sky high buyout. And finally the St john's job will also open up and the only thing we can count of for sure is, they will screw it up again when hiring their new coach.

I wonder what the interim guy at Texas has to do to keep the job.

Get his AD to ignore his mediocre record as a head coach at UTEP in his previous job?

Yeah. Of course before he got there that program had been run into the dirt. 3 years before he got there KP ranked 215,200,240. Year he left they were #136. Not great, but definitely an improvement.

Talk about a program that's gone in the tank. Haven't won an NCAA tourney game since 1992. Only 3 bids since then at all.

Sorry, did I read that right? You think Ed Cooley would consider switching sides within the Big East?

I might be completely wrong, but I think Georgetown is one job he might consider. NIL is going to become such a huge issue going forward, I think he may feel maintaining the level of success he's established will be easier to keep going at Georgetown. We may forget it after what Ewing has done there, but Georgetown remains one of the plum jobs in all of college basketball. They have money. Curious to know what Providence fans think about this, although I'm guessing they would think I'm crazy.

Maybe I'm overestimating his loyalty to PC, but I think you're crazy. I also don't think today's recruits view Georgetown the way those who lived through their glory days do.

I can't see Big Ed moving to Georgetown. I'd put this at .0001% .The thought of it doesn't really make sense.

And I can't imagine what his reception at the Dunk Amp would look like on the Hoya sideline, especially since we would probably grab Pitino. Lol. The ranking of "most disliked person in Rhode Island history" would be Cooley instead of Curt Schilling or Joe Mollicone or George III.

Also, i don't understand why NIL is being discussed as a huge game changer? Will Friar fans not buy player jerseys as much as Pitt or Colorado or USC or Illinois? I don't see a big problem.
