Yeah, SLU and Dayton over Creighton is a joke IMO but I am biased.

I understand the travel concerns but Gonzaga basketball does flight privately and with the money that currently comes into this school yearly plus the tv contract money they'd be able to pull it off. It's only 1 long distance flight a year for each other member so that's not a big problem. Gonzaga's other sports could possibly (Probably not) stay in the wcc or move to the WAC. With Gonzaga being a NCAA tourney team every year and possibly having their best team ever next year they should be strongly considered. They'd give the C7 a west coast brand and would help to jump start nationalizing the C7 (if that's what is wanted). But, with Creighton most likely being worse next year (losing Echenique, Gibbs, and MAYBE Mcdermott), Gonzaga should be a much more attractive team. So, I was wondering if there is any inside scoop of who will be the last team added AND if Gonzaga is being considered as one of those last teams. Thanks, and good luck to all of you for the rest of the season!

Every day I hear a little something and it just depends who you believe. I was told tonight that Creighton likely wouldn't be invited.

Dang. Was it just because of the Drake loss? Or is it because of the two game losing streak? I guess it just shows the volatility of conference realignment, you go from the penthouse to the outhouse in an Omaha minute.

Now if SLU and Creighton were not invited, I could understand location but if you are already flying to SLU, it's not worth it to fly another hour east to get a team with better history, better facilities, better support?
