It definitely seems like it's St. John's or Seton Hall. So either way BE wins.

Sounds like Seton Hall may be hiring his coach in order to land him.

Here the tweet hh mentioned:

"It will be a surprise, per my sources, if Isaiah Whitehead doesn't choose Seton Hall at his press conference this afternoon."

What's the story with his AAU coach? Is Seton Hall adding him to their staff?

From JOPO's link:

"Lincoln head coach Dwayne “Tiny” Morton is expected to join Willard’s staff as an assistant coach next season, sources have told The Post, an added benefit in Whitehead’s eyes. The standout shooting guard was taught by Morton in middle school and also has spent his entire career with the Juice All-Stars, Morton’s AAU program."

That's a game changer long term for SHU if so.

I read that they were shopping the coach during the recruitment process. I hope Seton Hall is not hiring him - it makes an unseemly process even more so.

Really, What major program doesn't have or hasn't had a former high school or AAU coach on their staff? Wha about SJU?

Unfortunately in the high stakes recruiting game that takes place in high major college basketball (football too) if you want to play with the big boys you have to play by the big boy rules. We want to win so we have to play by the rules. We may not like it but we don't like sitting home during the NCAA's either. I'd rather be playing late into March!
