Jessie Govan just committed to Georgetown, per AAU coach Dana Dingle.

6'10 #60 on Rivals, #15! on 247, and #44 Scout. Not in ESPN's 60 for 2015 currently.

G'Town continues to execute well on the recruiting trail. Jessie is a Top 75, 4 star type recruit. 6'10, 265lbs. Obviously nice size. Their front court is going to be ridiculous, arguably the best in the country. Happy to see these players want to play in a mid-major conference.

Thanks to G'Town and JTIII for getting 'er done. We NEED this type of recruiting success.

even better- Georgetown has signed #33 Noah Dickerson a 6'8" center from Atlanta,GA. Govan was a 81 according to ESPN- Dickerson is a 87.

Dickerson 2nd Big East top 60 signee so far according to ESPN. Of the top 60- 18 committed so far. Think there's a lot in that 61-100 range as well even already...

Like I said before- this recruiting class is the one that is huge. If we nail it- really speaks volumes- more so than anything we've done so far.

Great news! Our front court is going to be ridiculous in a few years. And 2014-2015 should be fun. A senior DSR with Cameron, Peak, Copeland, White, Campbell, Derrickson, Dickerson, and Govan. We need another solid guard and that's a very deep team.

Nice snag Hoyas! I know SJ was looking at him for a while but nothing really came of it. He's a big time recruit.

If Jermaine Lawrence comes to SJ and we can land Briscoe and Diallo in 2015, the Big East will be reloaded.

SJHooper, nothing would make me happier! You know I like to bust on St. John's but that is because I grew up in SJU country and as a Villanova guy have been battling with you guys for years. Would love to see Lavin land those guys and get SJU back in the top half of the league where they belong.

I meant 2015-2016 should be fun. But 2014-2015 should be exciting too! And I forgot to mention Trey Mourning.

Lavs walked in the door as a A+ recruiter & a D+ coach at best. He hasn't done anything to change either of those perspectives at SJU. Saying one or two more 4 & 5 star recruits are going to solve SJU's problems is a pipe dream. You guys have had consecutive Big East rookie of the years during Lav's run and will continue to put players in the league....talent isn't the issue and anybody who's followed SJU since Lavs arrived should know that saying so is pure denial of the obvious. The rest of the BE isn't waiting around for Lavs to suddenly learn how to coach, we already are reloaded!
