It appears that stever is currently on post delay moderation. Are you in favor of that? Or do you think stever should be emancipated?

Is there a vote for "who gives a crap?"

I voted to free stever. Sure he is an AAC troll with an anti-Big East agenda. But he's not just spamming the board with "you guys suck" talk, he does actually pay attention and engages in discussion. Different point of view is healthy, and a board of yes men can get boring. And it is tough to have a dialogue with stever when his posts don't appear for several hours and often times the thread is on a new page by the time it appears.
Interested to see what others think.

As a great man once said: "if you don't like it, don't read it!"
If you don't give a crap then don't vote. Some people want to have a back and forth with stever, some are annoyed by him and like that he has been reigned in. Those are the people who should be voting.

I would be interested in posters such as Stever, and to a lesser extent yourself, being limited to say 10 to 15 posts a day.

Personal preference aside I do think stever adds some value to the board and BE hoops, if I didn't I just wouldn't approve his posts. That said, most posters, myself included, prefer to not be constantly inundated with negativity. Opposing views are fine, and the vast majority of stevers posts get approved, but a poster who is so clearly against the BE might want to post in-pardon the pun- moderation, especially when he has been proven wrong on numerous occasions.

But when he is so wrong so many times it is funny to see him squirm.
I guess I just don't understand the need to moderate him. He makes a fool of himself enough. We shouldn't all have to hold hands and sing kumbaya.
It would be one thing if he were just a straight troll not making any arguments and just spamming. But he does at least give his position thought and pays attention.
Anyway, I don't have a strong desire to have him un-moderated as I do think he is clearly an anti-Big East troll so I'm not outraged he is limited. But I guess I don't like the idea that if you don't subscribe to the group think then you get in trouble. Different opinions I guess.

At this point, it's less what he writes (which can be annoying) and more the sheer quantity of posts (which gets to be completely overwhelming) that is an issue. If there was 10 post a day limit, then that would be fantastic.
And as moderator, I haven't turned down any of stever's posts. Actually, I still have only disapproved of posts from 1 person, a non-BE guy that was breaking stones after one of Georgetown's tough losses.
