I can hardly even watch this game now. Hopefully he is able to walk again.

I missed the action, only saw the aftermath. What was he doing when he went down, and how did the angle work for that to happen?

Contested a jump shot. Adjusted his body in mid-air to avoid flying off NCAA's absurd elevated court. Landed awkwardly, leg exploded. Hope he sues the NCAA for millions.

Hospital bills are estimated to be around $670,000. That doesn't even include his physical therapy.

There is a gif online, but I'm not even going to post the link. Beyond gruesome.

I'm used to seeing knees and ankles buggered up by awkward landings, but usually not the whole leg bone right in half like that.
Hope to see him next year.

Source?
Not to bring politics into this, but how the f--- can a leg surgery and a few days in a hospital cost $670,000? Numbers like that put me into a "Les Miserables" type of mood.

My wife works at Methodist (hospital he is at), and that is what she thinks the cost will be around.

For real? That's not what happened. I just watched it again, he lands in bounds where his leg just snaps and slides off the court on the level floor. It didn't appear he tried to avoid anything, at least regarding the edge of the floor which he was nowhere near. But yes, lets have another frivolous lawsuit, that will solve everything!

I saw it live. I honestly don't know how ANY of those kids could play after watching that. Tweets said multiple players on the UL bench threw up. My idiot brother thought it would be funny to mislabel a picture he found of it and send it to me. So I opened it. Now I have to travel to Charlotte and beat him senseless.
I could easily see that his medical bills are so high. You have to worry about infection (among other things) when it comes to open fractures like that. Plus he was probably out of his network. Heh.
