Want unequal distribution of revenue? Tie that to NCAA units

The league should divide up the TV revenue equally and then take the NCAA units earned and give larger shares to those who actually earn them. For Xavier and Butler to get smaller shares than Depaul and Seton Hall is a joke. XU and BU bring more of everything to the league than Depaul does. If SH or Depaul wants more money, earn it.

I've never understood why this doesn't occur. I think Butler had finally negotiated something with the Horizon to get more if they stayed because they earned so much with their NCAA runs.

Whether the media is divided equally or not I'd be in favor of the school that earns the money keeping more.

Butler negotiated that the HL team that wins games in the NCAA tourney would receive more money than the other schools.

What everyone if failing to realize is footing the bill to start this new league. Do you think it is cheap to retain Pilson's services and the legal council. There are millions of dollars that the 7 are ponying up to get this thing off the ground. How would it be fair for 3 schools to come in without absorbing any of the startup costs.

The best thing to do would be charge the entering schools a fee to join that takes into account the start up costs of the league and then have all schools share equally. I think the way the deal will be structured is to have the entering schools receive less money to start as a way of offsetting a joining fee. I would assume after several years, all schools would be on equal footing.

Perhaps that is the deal, but that's not what the report was.
