APR watch list was put out recently, and SLU was below the 930 cutoff.

Jon Smith and Justin Jordan...the gifts that keep on giving.

I think this is in reference to this story.

Here's a post from the Billiken message board covering SLU's rating.

"Simply put, it's a 4 year average based on things that happened 5, 4, 3 and 2 years ago. We had a lot of transfers 5 and 4 years ago hence the low numbers. When those years roll off the average and the last few years which have been generally good are in the average we will be fine. Nothing to see here."

There was quite a turnover the first couple of years after Majerus came in, players transferred out and new recruits didn't pan out and left. Since the number is a rolling average, SLU had a low score that will improve this year - over the 930 mark. It will be higher next year, too.

That was from the past years... Nothing official on that till may from what I can see... is that what u were talking about X?

If my research is correct SLU is safe its well over the 900 minimum which is in effect until 2015-2016. Connecticut was well under 900 so its not a real comparison. Slu should be safe from any sanctions

Here is a link to an article that explains it and a link to the ncaa APR reports

Several news outlets said the minimum is now 930 instead of 900. It's still from "The Situation".

I'm not going go into the myriad of factors and special cases that caused SLU's APR to dip so low...but the numbers should shoot up when the 2011-12 data is released this May.

Multi-year APR (single season)

2006-07: 979
2007-08: 947
2008-09: 933 (935)
2009-10: 925 (915)
2010-11: 923 (945)

LOL nothing to fear we are well above the 4 year 900 cut off that is in effect until 2015. I swear Slu goes from A-10 champs to not making the first wave in the C7 and now you have Slu fans hanging from ledges... X you should be ashamed... its tense times in Billiken land.

X you might have had some rumors mixed up. 1 Slu might pick up some aussie recruits from St. Mary's pipeline as they have lost schollies and 2 Slu might be banned from the A-10 tourney next year for leaving.

Unless the NCAA has rewritten its APR rules since June of 2012 i don't think Slu has anything to worry about.
