What would a week be w/o yet another rumor of a Big East TV deal about to be inked?

The best line in this story?
“We want to be the conference that can challenge,” Aresco said. “It’s a big part of our heritage. We have schools with the resources that can do it. We have schools with a history of success. … We’re in better shape than people expected us to be. We’re a more geographically coherent conference.”
Um, huh?!?!

If the Big East retains the C7 schools for 2013, will Georgetown and Nova be traveling to play at Tulane and SMU for conference games? That would make me laugh.

This is one big reason why I bet the C7 would love to get this done for 2013. If I'm in charge of the C7 I know that one year off of ESPN and playing "lesser" schools before starting up as a new league could have some lingering effects in terms of perception and interest.

Well, considering they were all set to have Boise St and San Diego St as members a few months ago, I guess this could be accurate. :D

Why, or how, should I know it's Saturn? I see no way to figure it out at all, short of totally guessing.
