Just a quick poll for my own curiosity - how many teams do you feel the new C7 league should have? why?

I always liked a 12 team conference, whether or not UD is in it. Have two divisions, play each team in your division twice and each team in the other division once for 16 games. Top two teams from each division get byes in the conference tournament.

I voted for 10 because that's what I prefer. I think it will be 12 though because that's what Fox prefers and they have more money than me.

10 teams to start with for me, Xavier, Butler +1 (keep it highly competitive from the off) although I understand why FOX would want 12.

I like the 12 team/2 division model.
Having 16 league games vs. 18 will allow more flexibility to schedule the high profile OOC games we all agree are necessary for the league to succeed.

12 is perfect although if it meant getting Gonzaga, more would be acceptable.

I voted 12 because I think Fox wants that many. I also think a league with more private, but not all Catholic schools, might make sense. How do people feel about an addition of Northeastern University, which would expand the League's footprint into the Boston market?

They are averaging just under 2,000 in attendance. I don't know that you need a footprint in the Boston market beyond Providence. No one in Boston cares about college sports other than maybe some college hockey. Boston is a pro sports town through and through.

I'm hoping for 12, even if Creighton is the 10th selection, just because I want St. Louis in there with us, not just because of basketball but for Soccer as well.
