The Big East will also have the Big East nameā€“lots of luck or lots and lots of money for the Catholic 7 to get the name at this point.

Is that likely some sort of insider information or just speculation?

Have to admit I wanted to dismiss this guy's stuff but that was a pretty interesting column. Thanks for sharing.

Except for when he said that the Catholic 7 wanted UCONN and Cincy to join.

Maybe the UCONN and Cincy referrals were about the 2013-14 season. I can't see the Catholic 7/Big East 7 (how about the Magnificent 7?) wanting them. We have to remember that it's not necessarily what the schools want, but what the TV stations want.

I agree that it wouldn't make sense for the BB7 schools to want to bring in two schools that have FBS football.
