A report fr/ the BE Meetings

No commissioner might be a better option than hiring Rich Ensor.
Fortunately that report came fr/ ajerseyguy so it's a pretty good bet that it ain't happening.
Speculation on new &/or associate members can start up again if the league really "will sponsor 20 or more sports".

Here is an Omaha columnist's take.

Well, former Big 12 Commish Dan Beebe is helping the Big East presidents sort things out. But he's only temporary. Still, there are things that look vaguely familiar.

There are reports by East Coast media outlets that Georgetown is running the show. That the presidents haven't found a commissioner yet because they want one they can push around. They don't want a Gavitt or Mike Tranghese, larger than life leadership.

Could this league turn into a situation where a few old guard Big East schools run the show and everyone else does as told?

Very next sentence in the article:
Don't count on it.

a name that i'd really like to see considered is Dick Ebersol. He's a heavy hitter who ran NBC sports forever.

He'd be great as he knows media inside and out. (although Fox might not be thrilled if he were chosen).

With the purported AAC affiliates in men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and women's field hockey, that's already 21 sports.

Is there a copy of that promo video somewhere I would love to see it. It sounds cool.
Coach Al Mcguire:
"I like seashells and balloons, ribbons and medals, bare feet and wet grass."
"When I'm losing, they call me nuts. When I'm winning, they call me eccentric."
"Queen of victory, pray for us."
