Yeah, units are earned per appearance except the championship game. Top 7 conferences all earned just about 1 unit per team, but the BE had to really outperform to get there with only 3 teams.

actually by seed, the league performed if anything under expectations. 1 seed expected to get 5 units, 2 seed 4 units, and 3 seed 3 units. So would be expected to get 12 units.

Only PAC12 & ACC would have outperformed this "expectation" of yours which doesn't account for upset possibilities. In reality it's pretty tough to have your 3 teams go chalk into the second weekend.

So I looked to see what normal would be really....
1 seeds on average get 3.89 units per tourney
2 seeds on average get 3.56 units per tourney
3 seeds on average get 2.74 units per tourney

So this year with 3 we would on average see 10.19 units.

It's a slight overperform compared to normal..
