Most of these "tweets" are from people who have 0 to no connections with the C7BE and have ties with the FBSBE. So... take them for what ever you want

On a side note... been doing my due diligence and found an article on Creighton's exit fee's. There are not as low as reported although technically their are no exit fees the MVC apparently docks your current years distributions.

If this is true... Creighton if it leaves early would loose all of its NCAA unit distributions including this years if they leave with less than 12 months notice. Not sure what exactly to take from it but we should probably stop throwing around that 50g number.

I'm making an assumption here, but I bet Creighton is going to make out like a bandit with the new TV contract as compared to their old contract. Losing that money from bids won't sting nearly as much.

Also, I can't remember where I read it (on here, A10 site or Xavierhoops) but apparently there was a message sent to an Olympic Sport coach where they were told to expect to triple their travel budget for next year, so that's a good sign, if true of course.
Always remember that you are unique; just like everyone else

Your right... Creighton and all of us will make more money from being in the league then out of it, heck at this point the C7 will will be making more money then had they stayed.

That message was dealing with a Butler Olympic Sport Coach... its an old message too, was mentioned in Jan-Feb... Honestly its not tough their budgets got tripled just moving from the Horizon to the A-10. I think it is a good thing though... I'm a huge supporter of non-revs and i think there is a chance that the C7 schools start dominating in a few of them... maybe move up the capital 1 cup standings... also i think their will be a few sports added by each of the programs... its an exciting time to be an alumni of one of these schools and not just for basketball.

Wonder why, says they left money on the table.

Anyways, Thamel is a Syracuse grad? That would explain why he seems so negative towards us, kind of. Hard to buy a negative piece about Georgetown written by a Syracuse grad that just called for all of us to be bludgeoned.

Get ready for a lot of media disrespecting of the Big East going forward.

The two biggest pimps honking the BE in the past were ESPN with their UCon connections plus they have rights to UCon's "America 12", and all of the Syracuse Media College grads...of which there are many. Thamel is one of them. Neither of those schools are in the BE going forward so look for a lot of demeaning.

It already is starting with A) The fact that they still want to call it the "Catholic 7" rather than the true Big East, and B) This sudden media outcry to have the ACC (with, of course, Syracuse) play their Conference Tournament in Madison Square Garden. This despite the fact that The True Big East has the future contract and rights.

The ACC in MSG? NEVER!!!!

The best way to get rid of the catholic 7 tag is to invite the other schools.

And not just 2 or 3 but all 5. Get that done and the c7 tag goes away.

Speculation goes away. And you have stability.

Then for at least one year all you have to deal with is the "NEW" big east tag.

Which I am sure will last until at least the next NCAA tourn

True that Creighton has no exit fee, per se, from the Missouri Valley Conference, but would forfeit TV money in the neighborhood of $300K. Good research, Bill. The $50K exit fee number that has been tossed around for Creighton is inaccurate.
"When you lose a program like Creighton, there's no sugarcoating it," Valley Commissioner Doug Elgin said. "It's a devastating loss. They're going to go on and have success in the league they've joined." Yahoo Sports, October 10, 2013.
