Losing SEC Sports & Football is a Big Deal for CBS/Turner. CBS had SEC Football since 1996. This is a big hit for them.
They will become much more involved and aggressive for the 2024 and beyond timeframe. BE will be on the open market
and I expect vigorous bidding.

It's not CBS/Turner. It's just CBS losing the SEC. CBS made they choice to leave the SEC. $300M was CBS max bid. Turner has nothing to do with it. Not even the same company.
CBS will not bid on the Big East. They already get 20 games from Fox Sports. CBS will look at the Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12 for football.

Will be really interesting to see how the next TV contract works out. Since the first one I would think the Big East has overperformed on the court and the addition of UConn has only helped. There are also more bidders in the form of streaming services that didn't exist back then. The big difference is that Fox was absolutely desperate for content when launching FS1 and I think that helped us. Personally, I would guess somewhere around 6 or 7 mil per school, but I wouldn't be surprised by more or less.

Have to admit, there is no universe in which I would have predicted nearly 6M viewers for that game, in this TV environment. Didn't think it would be much higher than a typical game going in, and even after the walk-off I thought maybe low 4M at best.

I do miss Urban Meyer on Big Noon Kickoff. I have Sirius XM, so most of the show I listen online as I get my steps in for the day before 13 hours of football watching.
