NCAAT- Creighton vs San Diego State 3/26/23

Horrible way for the game to end, especially considering the way the refs had let them play all day. There seemed to be contact every possession and they swallowed the whistle each time. That being said, it was disappointing the way Creighton went down. They allowed way too many offensive rebounds, and seemed to be getting beat to the 50/50 balls all day. It was a terrific season for Creighton, but in my opinion, on this day San Diego St. was the team that wanted it more.

But I do have to point out at least 3 “3” attempts that appeared to be in the cylinder, but managed to bumble their way out of the rim. Such can be life in the NCAAT.

If you're calling that contact the entire game, it needs to be called at the end.

However, if players understand by the previous calls or lack of calls, that certain contact is not going to be called a foul, then you can't call that one either.

Absolutely brutal way to have a tremendous season end.

Yes, that’s what players and coaches are supposed to do, I.e. adjust to the way the game is being called. I hate when fans complain about calls out of context. But in this game it’s not only the context, but the spot in which they made the call, basically handing the game to SDSU. Unforgivable

Creighton got hosed. You guys have every rihht to be p-ssed. Refs f-cked up at least 3 things in last 6.7...

- Aztec guy who caught inbound pass looked like he traveled.

- horrible foul called on Nembhardt by the ref who looks like a woodchopper. Horrible call.

- long inbound throw from Scheierman tipped and landed with at least 0.2 secs. Imagine saying there was no time left? How is that even possible?

McDermott handled that way better than I ever could have. I probably would have gone thermo-nuclear in the post game press conference.

Refs didn't call fouls on 90% of the contact throughout the game which was definitely to the Aztecs advantage as Creighton flourishes in open court fast moving offense. Tough way to lose.

You won't convince me that Creighton isn't the better team and would probably have been the toughest test for UConn based on what is left.
