He can see it however he wants. But here's the reality of the status quo, men's basketball and football have been incredible money machines since the 80s. This new money did not cause an increase in non-revenue sports, or further investments in academic institutions. It caused investment into men's basketball and football coaches and institutions. People will cry foul that the players will get paid but never once cared about coaches and administrative salaries. I know I am thrilled for the new era. For Xavier, 95% of our players will never touch an NBA floor and Cintas will likely be the biggest arena they ever play a home game in. For them to be compensated for filling that arena as opposed to 10 assistant coaches and administrators is just in my eyes.
