Would we like more wins and movement out of the first weekend, of course. However, the consistency and reloading over the last 4 years have been a pleasure to watch.
I thought Nova would win the BE regular seaon last year, but was sure there would be more loses. The depth of talent on so many of the teams this year is going to create one hell of a race. We are in for some fantastic league games next year. Providence is going to be VERY good. Of course Butler will be there as will Seton Hall, X, and your Jays. Marquette is going to be good and St. Johns will be a year more dangerous. Goodness, where are the easy games??? How many will get in the dance???
I am so looking forward to seeing all these new great faces coming in. And yes, I too am grateful for the "newbies" in the league. Great programs, basketball centric and so well coached. .... can't wait for November.

Look at that conference number for Xavier: 42 - 30. We knew coming into the Big East that the days of dominating a conference were over. Fans of A10 teams simply can't appreciate what it is like to slug it out in this conference over the course of a conference season; there are no easy nights in the Big East.
Then I look at what Jay and Nova have done and in this conference, which continues to perform at such a high level. THAT is flat out impressive.
God help us all when Georgetown, St. Johns and DePaul all come back online firmly.
