People keep forgetting that Georgetown has literally contributed nothing to this league since it was restarted

They were suppose to be the flagship program...this was suppose to be "Georgetown's league"....

Are we really going to need to expand if/when Ewing brings them back to that status? I think not.

Gtown aint comin back .Dc isnt a basketball oriented enuff anymore so they'll continue to lack fans. No fans means hard for players to get excited before games.Which means less recruits looking to play at Gtown..Plus its a private school with low enrollment numbers with a studentbody way to preoccupied to watch basketbal livin in Da city.Gtown is no longer in its chocalate city days. more like a melting pot for the professional white collareds and foreign minorities who have way more to worry about than trying to keep up with Gtown college basketball.

You are a moron. If Georgetown is winning, they are DC's team. Period, end of story. Over Maryland, over GW, over GMU, period. It's not even remotely close.

DC is for sure very basketball oriented still.

You are on a roll. Not only is it a grind to read your comments, but you've also managed to take ignorance to an art form.

I hope Ewing brings them back fully. It would be great for the Hoyas and for the Big East. I can damn well assure you that, absent Ewing's ability to do it, someone with talent will do it if Ewing fails and Georgetown's administration finally wakes up and moves beyond the Thompson regime.

BTW, the answer to the homogeneity question is that it is proving to be good. We're succeeding, according to the people that matter in all this.

The BE leadership is pleased with our performance and direction and it loves the composition and size of the conference.

MSG is pleased as well.

BTW, so is Fox.

The chances for BE conference expansion are so remote for the foreseeable future that it isn't even funny. Zero interest in non-P5 schools. No exertion of energy towards considering P5 and AAC schools that aren't close to being "available" anyway. And the subject of FOOTBALL is a negative - and obstacle - for any discussion that may occur down that road.

And on a final note, ESPN is most likely around the corner from having to go through some additional major talent cuts. Mickey is worried. The subscription business model is a road to hell in a land with technological advances and increasing streaming.

I feel like the mods are pretty lenient here, but a non-Big East fan who trolls here constantly probably warrants some moderation. You're welcome to contribute, but from now on your posts will require moderator approval before they show up on the board.
