Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Butler has one of the most impressive resumes in the country. Yes, they've lost two straight, but most of us have said that GT has very good talent, so if they put it together, they could beat anybody. So they blew CU out and beat Butler. We all knew they had it in them, but they hadn't put it together until that streak. This is just one game in a long season. They lost (at home) to a top 25 team. They're still 18-5 overall and 7-4 in the BEast. Holtmann will rally the troops and BU will be fine.
Pleased with CU's performance. You can see the importance of Zack Hanson in that when JP made two quick stupid fouls early in the game, we didn't suffer that much. I'm thrilled to have him back. And I'm thrilled to see us shoot better from range. Glad that Clement played well, but disappointed that Mintz isn't taking control of the PG position. Jays still finding their way, but this was a huge win.
If you'd watched Butler, you would know they're incredibly fortunate to even be 18-5. Realistically there's no way they should have been able to come back against Marquette or DePaul, and in the DePaul game, they sure didn't do it by playing well. DePaul just played slightly worse in a god awful game to watch. The game at Georgetown they should have lost as well, but they got saved because Georgetown just refused to wake up. Even without Watson, Creighton is just a terrible matchup for Butler, especially when the team refuses to defend. You allow back to back opponents to shoot 64% and 56% on your home court and you flat out deserve to lose. Credit to Georgetown and Creighton for hitting wide open shots, but they aren't all that open because of brilliant execution. Butler's leaders (Martin and Chrabascz) aren't showing up when the team needs them, and their record is suffering for it. Can't depend on a true freshman and a transfer from GW to bail them out every game.

Disagree. It's lack of talent and poor coaching.

I'm not going to play counselor to you all, but remember that you were picked waaaayyy down the list in the pre-season poll, and you are having a terrific season. 14-3 against the RPI top 100, and 5-2(?) against ranked teams. Definitely time to panic. Geez.

Disagree, as you may, but they still play dumb and selfish ball. Then again, the (poor) coaching, as you speak, could be encouraging that style of play (which, ends up leading to dumb and selfish ball).
