Good win for the Dawgs. Just wish this team would play a complete game. It's been a long-ass time since that has happened. Once this team does that, look out.

I don't think this was a disastrous loss for Seton Hall. An unranked team lost to the team ranked #11 in the country and tied for first in the league. Granted, it was at home, but it's not a season killer. I realize they were looking for a marquee win but they'll have more opportunities.

Also, I disagree that Seton Hall threw the game away. After being up 13, Butler almost threw the game away. Seton Hall came very close to stealing a win after being behind a majority of the game.

It's pretty close to a season killer. It was extremely winnable and blowing it leaves them with almost no more room for error. Unless they steal a road game at Butler or Xavier, they can afford 1 more home loss. With Nova, X, and Creighton still to come, that's pretty damning.

*edit* Everything I said is also assuming they win all their remaining games with Georgetown, St. John's, Providence, and DePaul. Essentially, this leaves Seton Hall in a place where they can afford to lose a maximum of 3 more games. And they'll be dogs in at least 6 of the remaining 10.

Really though especially if Creighton falls apart, they have at the most 4 more really chances to get a marquee win- @ Xavier, Villanova, Xavier, and @ Butler. And that's if Xavier maintains where they are. If Xavier falls apart, they might have only 2 more real shots to get a lasting meaningful win.

Seton Hall had one momentary lead after the 12:40 point in the first half. Most of the game, it was a multiple possession affair.

It didn't seem that close. I mean, close enough to get worked up about

Creighton suddenly seems like a very winnable game - especially at home.

Wasn't close? What game were you watching? Butler went on a run midway through the first half, Seton Hall responded early in the second half. It was 1-2 possessions or tied the rest of the game until Butler hit back to back 3s with a couple minutes left.

I'd say Desi's missed break away layup late (SHU missed a lot of bunnies but this was the key one) changed the game. Instead of tying it, Butler went to the line to extend the lead to 4. If that doesn't rim out, I like the Hall's chances.

1 of 2 things will happen. Either Creighton will get things straightened out without Watson and it will still be an extremely difficult game, or they'll keep struggling and it will be a winnable game but not one that's going to move the needle on their tourney hopes.

I didn't mean any disrespect. There just really wasn't a time that I thought that wasn't a win. I figured that was just everyone's feeling. Just one of those yeoman's games where you get a few possession lead and just hold it all game

Atrocious offense but good offense won it. All wins are nice but defense huge concern. Really thought SH would come through they are close to done. So sad for Creighton I feel terrible. A Final Four caliber yr derailed by 1 awful injury.
