20 years in the Marines and I've seen some good kids do some really stupid crap, so I'm a little more forgiving. (Did it cause an international incident, no one was permanently injured or killed, isn't a pop on a wizz quiz (Drug screening and auto boot out the door,) and it didn't involved the Base CO's daughter? OK let's see what we need to do to make this right and teach your young dumb arse a lesson.) I certainly hope that Butler would continue to try and avoid these types of issues, but young men will do dumb things, some pretty serious dumb things even. Should we use it as ammo to mess with other teams fans... Hell yeah! (The X really stands for where they stand for the mug shots! )

X fans seems to be a little chippy... it's kind of refreshing. I probably would've cheered for Butler against Xavier this season, but their clock guy pissed me off last week, so go X (after we pound them Tuesday night).

Our clock guy has a habit of doing that. That's why we have a new water fountain in the Visitor's locker room, courtesy of Xavier.

I am surprised the clock-thing at Butler didn't get more attention on here. Cost Xavier the game a few years back and clearly the issue still hasn't been resolved. At least twice in the Nova/Butler game seconds were ticking off the clock when they shouldn't have. Even the announcers (I think it was Donnie Marshall) were making comments on it and the home-cooking by the clock operator. Luckily, the refs caught it both times this year. You'd think Butler admin would replace the clock operator as this seems to be a reoccurring problem with them (either out of incompetence or less than ethical decisions).

Yes, the clock thing is annoying, but it absolutely didn't cost Xavier a win. That's the magic of the interwebs, you can go back and check the tape.

The ironic thing is, that very same season Xavier had clock issues at home in a game against Dayton:

It hasn't been a consistent issue at Butler, but it has been an issue (and definitely was during the Villanova game) and I agree that the clock operator should be replaced.

Any concern from Xavier fans that if you lose to Butler and Creighton, that you are on the bubble? Or even the wrong side of the bubble? Looking at your resume, I don't see any wins over sure fire NCAA tournament teams yet. We have talked about the upside of the musketeers so much on this board, but the actual resume is pretty thin if you don't get wins over the top of the BE.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Could definitely use a couple good wins, but I'm certainly not worried about missing the tournament. Still have more than enough opportunity in conferance and a big road opportunity @Cincinnati 2 weeks from today. A lot of teams we have played are not as good as they were projected to be (UNI specifically starting 0-5 in conference). I'm just thankful Xavier pulled out the Mizzouri win. They may be the worst team we play all year long.
