Just not easy to find tickets and truth be told, unless you are in the lower sections, it is just not a good place to watch a game. Frankly, I'm not ashamed in saying I've grown out of bench style seating. Cramped, poor sight lines. I'll pass. But I usually hit at least 2 WF games per year and make the pilgrimage to MSG vs. the Johnnies or the BET just about every year. I would imagine, this year at least, that every WF game will be sold out regardless of opponent.

Gotta love the fan support in Omaha. CU was a great addition to the league.

I agree, I would like to get out there for a game. Hopefully, catch the infamous $1.00 beer night?

Same way here with the Johnnies. I never go to games at Carnesecca but always hit up 2-3 games at MSG every year and every other year made the drive down to WFC for a game and a cheese steak. Well before I moved to LA 3 years ago. haha Now im lucky to get to one at Christmas. Last year was the first time in over a decade i didn't get to a game at all.

With CU not making the Dance, those 2 NIT home games dropped us from 8th (Reg Season-17,065) to 10th (15,946) on the attendance chart. Creighton should be back to normal (5th-6th) this season, with a better team and with increased opportunity to dance in the NCAA's.

IIRC - and correct me if I'm wrong Nova fans

but - last season's Nova schedule was purposely set up with the smaller arena vs WF

Since Philly was hosting a regional at WF - schools are limited in number of games they can play there or it is considered their "home court" and they're not eligible for NCAA play in those instances

Wright new he had a good team last year that could very well be a protected seed - and playing in Philly was likely a goal - so they scheduled accordingly.

I'd expect with the even higher interest coming of their NC win (congrats again Nova - just outstanding!) - there will be quite a few more games this year and in upcoming seasons at WF as Philly won't be hosting anything NCAA wise for a few years.

You are correct. Puposely scheduled light at WFC to allow to play there in regionals.

Would expect 5 there this year and more when the renovation shuts down the Pavillion.

Just 5? I would expect Virginia, GTown, Seton Hall, SJU/PC and X. If you guys play Big Five games at WFC then I could see Temple there as well. Wouldn't be shocked to see up to 7 of them there. That would take advantage of all the extra fans a national championship brings. I would expect almost all Big East sat home games to be there as well as UVA and Temple.

Yeah I think most any fan would want 7 there, but I am sure there are a number of scheduling factors that may impact. The Nova ticket office is already reaching out on WFC games and it is my understanding there are 5 there. Who knows if that gets changed.

If the # is 5, then you have to expect the following games to be at the WFC:

Definites:
UVA
Xavier
G'town

Decent chance:
SHU
Creighton

Maybe:
St. John's
Marq.
PC
Temple
St. Joe

We play Lafayette in Allentown (10K arena) and ND at the Prudential. What I wonder is what the attendance will be like at the away games. Wonder if SHU would open up the top level and if MSG/SJU would sell out considering the buzz around the NC's coming to town.

X averaged 31 more people than capacity. Maybe we can move 'Nova to Paul Brown stadium.

I tend to doubt Villanova would play Seton Hall at the WFC, but considering their decade long losing streak at the Pavilion (and 4-2 record at other venues-Rock/MSG- since 12-13), I'm sure the Pirates would sign up for that in a heartbeat

'Nova fans, what are your thoughts on this? Do you feel a sort of budding rivalry with Seton Hall that could justify the bigger stage? Getting that kind of attention from the national champs could actually be pretty helpful in kickstarting the Hall's own fan base.

As far as if SHU would open the top level of the Rock when 'Nova comes to town...that depends. Their rent for the game would increase significantly to open the upper level, so they need to be sure they'll sell enough seats to at least cover those costs. They would only consider it if the game was sold out (or at least very close to it) about a month early. The other thing is they're now going to be wary of opening the upper level just to fill it completely with visiting fans, which is what happened the only previous time they opened it (against Syracuse). I'm sure they liked the extra money, by they also recognized that it hurt the gameday experience for their own fans.
