At least somebody's paying attention outside of Rhode Island...

Nope. Gonna take a "parting of the seas" and "fishes n loaves for 5K" in order for
Da fryers to dance on 2016-17. Lol

I will have to believe you because you would surely know what it takes to not be able to dance in this new conference.

I'm a huge fan of Gtmo's posts, which always remind me of a famous Aesop's Fable:

THE GNAT AND THE BULL:

A Gnat flew over the meadow with much buzzing for so small a creature and settled on the tip of one of the horns of a Bull. After he had rested a short time, he made ready to fly away. But before he left he begged the Bull's pardon for having used his horn for a resting place.

"You must be very glad to have me go now," he said.

"It's all the same to me," replied the Bull. "I did not even know you were there."

Someone's gotta finish 7th and whoever is predicted to, will probably play with a chip on their shoulder. Doesn't change the fact someone is finishing 7th, but being predicted to finish 7th in the BE should still mean you have dancing in March as one of your main goals, at the very least.

I'm less of a fan of gtmo than just about anyone...however, I'm certain Creighton has as many NCAA victories since joining the BE as Providence.

True. But PC has made it every year so far. And just an appearance is worth a tourney credit. So they have gotten 4 credits so far and Creighton has 2.

For Friars fans, where do you think Providence will finish? I know a lot are unhappy with the 7s and 8s people are giving and I can't blame you after coming off 3 straight appearances in the tournament but I'm having troubles not putting them there without Bentil.

There are a lot of variables and things to sort out (Bentil), and PC could finish really anywhere. But if we make the NCAA's it's not going to be because of a miracle, but just a matter of some newcomers playing well. The BE will be wide open next year.

Without studying everyones rosters and without really knowing much about everyones incoming recruits this is my uneducated guess on where everyone will finish next season. (Please don't crucify me, i'm sure this will be proven wrong next year)

1. Nova (Best until proven otherwise)
2. X (Bring a lot of studs back)
3. Seton Hall (If Whitehead comes back that is)
4. Butler (Always just a solid team)
5. Creighton (The BJ's make it back to their first dance in the post Dougie era)
6. SJU (Homer pick, but not really)
7. Providence (Rebuilding but could be lower)
8. Marquette (Can easily be one to two spots higher)
9. Georgetown (JTIII's last disappointment)
10. DePaul (It's DePaul)

I clearly was talking about making the tournament in this conference and only to one person. Don't sweat it I love Creighton and everything about the school honestly.

I don't know but I do know it will not be wherever the experts on this board put them. This has been proven historically year after year. I simply can't believe if Bentil comes back with what we have added and what we had sitting out only losing one player we will fall that far. Cooley has built a program here, eventually the rest of you will catch on to what we know. Every single year we have lost a star player and every year we have been as good if not better than the year before. If Bentil comes back we will have an outstanding team that will probably be dancing again, then 1 year from now this board will be picking us at the bottom because we lost Bentil. It's like groundhogs day.

One last thing regarding picking. Nobody knew Edmund Summers was going to be that good accept Xavier fans, every team has players like this so predicting anything this early is beyond silly. But I do know the PC fans get a good head shaking laugh seeing people pick them when half of the experts can't even name the players on the PC team that will be competing for minutes this year.
