Not taking anything away from the Creighton backcourt, they're both great players, I'm just saying I would definitely take the Hall's.

At PG, as good as Watson is- Whitehead's better and there really isn't much debate. He was a unanimous 1st team All Big East selection and BET MVP for a reason. If he returns to school, he'll likely be the preseason BE player of the year and an almost surefire 1st round draft pick next year with a very real chance to play himself up to a lottery pick.

And then looking at Foster vs Carrington...it's not completely even because Foster had to sit this past season, but comparing their sophomore years Carrington had slightly better numbers pretty much across the board. Foster was a slightly better 3pt shooter but Carrington had the edge in overall shooting, free throws, points, rebounding, assists, steals, etc.

Whitehead and Carrington have also spent the past 2 years playing together and developing chemistry while Foster and Watson are yet to play together in a competitive game.

Again, I don't mean to take anything away from them. They're great players and I think Creighton will have an excellent season, but unless I'm missing something big here (and someone please let me know if I am) I'd rather have Seton Hall's starting backcourt.

Actually I think it may hurt you guys if he is back. The game has changed. The Hoyas seemed to be a better team last year when Peak and Copeland attacked the rim and Derrickson stretched the defense from the outside. I'd thank Hayes for his 4 years of dedication and move on. Just one man's opinion and I certainly didn't watch the Hoyas as much as their fans. But if JTIII is going to ever change his philosophy he needs to let his horses run. And he may never have the horses (length, speed, etc.) to do then with this current roster.

I think you'll definitely see a different style of play. We've been telling our recruits we'll be playing differently and makes no sense to lie to them when they'll be able to see if it's true before they commit. Plus the additions of mulmore and Pryor tell me we're targeting quick athletic guards to facilitate that change of pace. That being said Hayes is a talented 7 footer it's nice to have that option to compete when going up against a team with a good big. I think he'll get less run than he did this past year if he comes back but I'd like him as an option.

Hayes Granted a 5th year by the NCAA and will return for the Hoyas next year. If we can get some solid PG play from Mulmore or elsewhere Hoyas will be very dangerous.

Creighton

I think the Big East could get a 6th team again next year. It's going to be a strong metrics year, the only truly 'bad' team is (shockingly) DePaul.

My playing it safe pic -> GTMO is going to make a bunch of really crazy pro Creighton post comments that leave everyone including Creighton fans scratching their heads : )

Number of NCAA tourney Teams -> Six. I see 9 of our teams having legit chances to make the tourney. I am going to go out on a limb and say St. John's makes the tourney. That's probably my bold prediction. But even though they were undermanned this year, they played with heart the whole year. Not sure if Mullen is an X and O coach yet, but he is a guy that can get the team to buy in.

Number of conference losses by regular season champions -> 4+. Until proven otherwise I think Villanova is the team to beat. But I expect a much closer battle this year. Wouldn't be surprised to see co-champions.

Nope. Gonna take a "parting of the seas" and "fishes n loaves for 5K" in order for
Da fryers to dance on 2016-17. Lol
