I see SJU as #9 and Depaul as #10 next year. Without Bentil, PC is a Wednesday night team though....

Haven't posted here in awhile, much more active on the Underground.
(If Bentil and Whitehead leave)
1. Villanova
2.Xavier
3.Creighton (If Mo Watson stays)
4.Georgetown
5.Seton Hall
6. Marquette
7.Butler
8.St.Johns
9.Providence
10. DePaul

(If Bentil AND Whitehead return)
1.Villanova
2.Xavier
3. Seton Hall
4. Creighton
5.Georgetown
6.Providence
7.Marquette
8.Butler
9.St.Johns
10. DePaul

Villanova and Xavier are the teams to beat. However, Seton Hall and Creighton could both finish top 3. If Whitehead returns, Seton Hall will be dynamic. With Watson, Foster, Huff, and other really good role guys, CU should be a top 25 caliber team, and could be even better if the interior players of Hanson, Patton, Hegner, Krampelj play well. That's the X- factor. What's so interesting to me, is the teams 5-9 could be interchangeable in any order. GT has so much talent, how good could they be if they put it together. What will Providence do to score if Bentil leaves? How improved will STJ be will all their new additions? How big of a step back will Butler take losing Jones and Dunham? It should be an ultra competitive and fun season. I say we get 6 in the NCAA's.

Why is Creighton supposed to be so good?

Are they more talented than Georgetown?

If Bentil returns, and PC just loses Dunn and no one else, why is everyone so down on a team that has made three straight NCAA tournaments?

Bring back Watson, Khryi Thomas, Cole Huff, Isaiah Zierden, Toby Hegner, Ronnie Harrell.

Should be pretty good. I don't see Providence finishing below St. John's

Creighton returns all but 2 (Groselle, Milliken). Adding transfer Marcus Foster, RS Justin Patton, RS Krampelj, and frosh PG Mintz.
Foster immediately bumps the Jays into contention.

Why is Creighton supposed to be good? Well, forming a prediction starts at where the team finished the previous season. Then, you factor in who is leaving and who is entering the program, as well as who you expect to improve. There are two leaving (James Milliken, Geoff Groselle), three entering (Marcus Foster, Davion Mintz, Justin Patton), and a handful of young players who should continue to improve (Ronnie Harrell, Khyri Thomas).

Looking at the big picture above, its pretty simple really. The only problem I see for this team is some frontcourt issues. Truth be told however, Geoff could never really play defense well, and with Marcus coming in and Cole Huff getting himself healthy, we shouldn't worry about replacing his 10ppg.

Just Kris Dunn? While it can be argued that Bentil was more imprtant than Dunn, he is a lottery pick....

To answer your question, no they aren't as talented as Georgetown. By talent Georgetown might be the second best team in the conference. Was Creighton, Seton Hall, and even Butler and Providence more talented than Georgetown last year? No. The problem is in the past few years Georgetown has had some of the more talented teams in the conference but can't put the pieces together. Georgetown can be a top 15 team based off talent but there's no reason to believe that based off what the Hoyas did last year.

Please don't try and stop them, this will now be the 4th year these same people are picking Providence to be down near the bottom of the league, they all have been wrong EVERY time. It's fascinating to watch actually.

Because they'll have the best backcourt in the league, and with a healthy Huff, that's a trio I would put up against any other trio. The bigs will be the question mark. If they can play well, the Jays will be really good.
