Some weird hires, Stallings at Pitt and Pastner at GT? Is there a shortage of good coaching candidates out there? Vandy gets Bryce Drew which is probably an upgrade, interesting to see who Memphis can lure...

Agree on the strange hires in the ACC. Could be that coaches see Duke, UNC, Louisville, Virginia, Miami, ND, and Syracuse and they realize they will be scrapping for tourney bids.

Take the Memphis job and you have the infrastructure to be a top 3 or 4 team every year in the AAC.

Saw Marquette playing vs Vandy in the Armed Forces Classic at Navy on the opening night of the season. So liking what I'm seeing so far from Marquette this year. Vandy, Wisconsin, Utah, exempt tourney vs Michigan/Pitt/SMU. That's 5 games that should be really solid. Need like 1-2 more and then just mediocre teams and the OOC schedule is a huge upgrade....

Anyone hear anything about SJU's OOC schedule for next season? Outside of our tourny I haven't heard squat.

Per Marquette, it will not participate in the Gavitt Games this year.

Speaking of the Gavitt Games has anyone else heard anything? I went back to last year's thread and the first matchup leaked on April 13th. The full schedule was announced on Monday the 20th so maybe next week?

All I know is we better get Michigan St. or Wiscy in the Gavitt games with a return game next year at WFC, or if I'm Jay I tell the B1G to go pound sand. Oh hell no with playing Nebraska or PSU or someone other dreg.
