will be interested with the Gavitt games matchups. Butler and Seton Hall will be involved this year.

Also and this really doesn't go with non conference stuff- but what do folks think will happen with the marathon? The CFP semifinal games are on Saturday this year. I frankly think it's time to just do away with the marathon. Big East doesn't need a gimmick like that. Got 10 damn good teams, and just have 5 great matchups before the 1st of the year(on like Dec 28/29- Wed/Thu). 1 thing kind of interesting with the calendar this year, assuming no games are played on Sat Dec 31/Sun Jan 1- would have 1 fewer bye than we had this past year. Which I kind of like better anyways.

I'd love to see for openers......
Seton Hall/Xavier
Nova/Butler
Creighton/Marquette
Georgetown/St John's
DePaul/Providence

Why do you hate 12 hours straight of Big East basketball? I've never seen someone hate this idea more than you.

It's just not practical, especially this upcoming year. This is the year that we all knew would be one of the tougher ones.

Available for scheduling- 7,000 student private Catholic university, plays Div 1 BB, seeking home and home series. Decent RPI, 3 successive NCAAT appearances.

Nice job by X and Marquette getting good games against NCAA teams.

I updated the schedule page to remove the 2015-16 items.

Here is the updated link and would be happy to update any additions/changes if there are any.

You have Nova with No Gavitt games due to Charleston. Has that been officially announced? I don't think Xavier will be in there due to playing in Puerto Rico(on Thursday). So then there's 2 that are interesting. You have Creighton playing in Paradise Jam starting on Friday. You have Nova playing in Charleston. One of those 2 would have to play then. My hunch is that it would be Creighton. Remember DePaul played at Penn St on Tuesday before going to the Paradise Jam last season.

Interesting that Xavier and Marquette both announced Pac-12 matchups. Might still be some momentum behind the Pac-12/Big East scheduling alliance.

I doubt it. I think the Marquette/Utah one is a lot driven by Majerus.

If anything, I'd kind of think the other way- if they were going to do the challenge- they wouldn't have additional P12 games.

stever, I took it to mean there are still ADs that would like to see a scheduling alliance, especially since these two scheduling announcements were so close together. I'm going to remain hopeful that we get an official Pac-12/Big East series :)
