teams with the profile of St Mary's regularly get left out. RPI isn't the only thing the committee looks at.

But what other things are we looking at? It looks like we are just cherry picking their RPI to make it look worse than it is, which is 35th in the country.

I hope they both get in. I'd rather see a solid Mid team get in over middle of the pack P5 teams like South Carolina and Syracuse. Don't we all want to keep Cinderella alive?

I look at 'ugly wins' in addition to good wins. 18 of St. Mary's wins are against teams with an RPI 200+. Wichita State has 11 ugly wins. Win totals can be deceiving.

I really hope they don't get left out. They've had a great year.

In terms of most deserving in my opinion...
Monmouth > St. Mary's > Wichita St. > Valparaiso

That's right, they snub teams with the St. Mary's profile from mid-major conferences, teams like UCONN, for example. :D

18 games against the RPI 201 or worse. Average win for them is 203. 146 SOS and 160 OOC SOS. 2-4 road/neutral vs the RPI top 200. Their 3 best wins OOC- UC Irvine, Grand Canyon, CS Bakersfield. It's just not a tourney resume at all whatsoever.

Everything you pointed out is reflected in their RPI. Which is still 35th best in the country. So...

Except UConn doesn't have St Mary's profile. UConn actually played 9 top 50 games. Their SOS is 52- or 96 spots ahead of St Mary's. Their 3 best OOC wins- Texas, Michigan, and Ohio St(btw, Gumby, those could serve them pretty well should Ohio St and Michigan get tourney wins).

Chance Michigan and OSU both doing well the Big Ten tournament isn't great but still possible. Again you always try bringing up best case scenario for AAC teams. It's possible OSU and Michigan do well but it's also possible they get an early exit in the Big Ten tournament and they arnt as good of wins.

Uh, I hate to break it to you, Stever20, but your bud Lunardi has only Temple and UC from the AAAAAAAAACCC dancing on this morning's bracketology. I'm surprised you haven't posted this yet given your love of all things Lunardi and bracketology.
