I still think PC is safe inside the field. But I was a PC fan I would be nervous. What looked like a team that could go deep in the tourney is now looking like a 1st round exit. I still believe in Providence and I hope they bounce back. It looks like Dunn was out of it tonight. He wasn't himself. But no worries right now PC is definitely in. Win atleast 1 out of the next 3 and they have no worries.
I disagree. They need 2 out of 3, and the loss better be CU. Losing to SJU, or DePaul could be fatal. Even losing one puts their rpi down to 60, and losing 2 puts it down around 70. Keep in mind that rpi has been more friendly to PC than either Kenpom, or bpi, both of which had PC in the 50s before they lost tonight. They better win all three if they don't want to be sweating on Selection Sunday.

I can tell you that most PC fans are over being nervous. We realize this team is completely flawed, Dunn hasn't been what was expected in conference play and Cooley doesn't look like he has any answers. I doubt they make the tournament but if they do it will be a quick visit.
I think Bentil will be suspended for the DePaul game.
Edit: And no way PC is in with just 1 win out of the next three. They certainly wouldn't deserve to be either.

They are indeed, "safely off the bubble" tonight. Unfortunately, the season doesn't end tonight. The remaining schedule isn't hard, so if they really deserve a bid, they'll take care of business. However, because the remaining schedule is so weak, losses will be devastating to their case. Creighton's not a bad team, but a tourney team has to win that game on their home court. As for the other two, a loss is going to pull PC's plug unless they go on a run in NYC.
