It's not just me. Right now, Seton Hall is listed as the 7th team in with Bracket Matrix. And then lose the next 3 games, and then play a #200 team? And that's supposed to keep them safe? Then a loss in the BET? I'm sorry, but that isn't a tourney team, I don't care what conference you are in. The bubble is weak, but it's not that weak.

I think you just said in the other thread that Ken Pom liked Seton Hall, as long as they don't get waxed vs Xavier.
Just relax and enjoy an exciting game tonight, because we're getting 5 teams in this year.

It's not just the Xavier game. Tonight's even more important. 34 hosting I think 59 right now in PC. They're favored by 6. A 10+ point loss would likely knock them down to 40 or worse......

Here's what I want.... which would guarantee 5 bids just about
Seton Hall to win tonight(going along with beating DePaul)
Butler to win next Wed vs Seton Hall(going along with beating Georgetown or Marquette- some folks say they need 3 wins, I disagree).

The team that is really scary is PC though. You really hope the committee doesn't use KP too much with them.... Right now like I said #59. And after tonight, 3 games left where they are pretty big favorites(smallest one is 64%). They are one that I think folks could be shocked when the brackets are released. Last years committee wouldn't have been kind with them.

Getting back to game discussion...

in last month's game at the Dunk, I thought the key to Seton Hall's solid win was Gordon. As a 5th year, he's a key piece in calming the sophomores down. He was active and a pain in the neck. He'll draw 3 charges tonight and it will be aggravating. Anyway, hopefully he has an off night, but it's not likely.

just want to say- I think Seton Hall DOES get in. I just don't think they're quite there yet....

I'm actually pretty impressed with the Hall. They haven't imploded like I think a lot of folks here thought they might. They stay in that 10-11 range(or get up into the 6-7 range)- and they're going to be really dangerous in the tourney.

I think the loser will still have to win some games. SH might end up playing Butler for a spot if they lose tonight. A 3 game losing streak going into the final game might mean they'd have to get some wins at the Garden to feel safe. PC is in better shape, but if they lose tonight, they really have to be careful in those last 3 games. A loss to CU, accompanied with a loss to either SJU, or DePaul, would likely be a death blow. They've stumbled lately, and if they lose tonight, they just can't afford a stumble against a bottom feeder. That would signal a total collapse, and they probably wouldn't deserve a bid at that point. The polls like PC, but the computers don't. Their schedule is very favorable after tonight, and they must win as expected.

Providence seems to have forgotten that they have the leading scorer in the league and are just chucking up 3s. If they are falling that works, but they aren't. Seton Hall is looking pretty crisp tonight.
Lets go Dawgs!

Seton Hall and Providence both probably make the tournament. Both need to win a couple more games to be sure. If Seton Hall gets to 21 wins and 11-7 Big East, I think they're in, regardless of the BET. Providence is a little trickier, since they have DePaul and St John's down the stretch. Providence is probably in with 2 more regular season wins, too.
