I honestly believe that Seton Hall, Butler, Creighton, and Marquette are all significantly better than their RPIs suggest. The problem is that all 4 didn't really have the chance to prove themselves in OOC play due to weak schedules, and Creighton took a terrible loss in that stretch. Unfortunately there just aren't enough Big East wins to go around to make up for those schedules and the results are dragging everyone (except Nova and X) down. I honestly believe that SHU, BU, and CU are all NCAA Tournament quality (though they certainly won't all make it) and MU shouldn't be considered a bad loss for anybody.

I totally agree. Then compounding it was Georgetown and our 5 close losses in OOC play. This should have been a year where getting 6 in was a cinch, and 7 a very real possibility. The bubble isn't good- compounded by SMU/Louisville being out- so going to #69 and 70.

Idiotic.

While I agree that the Big East should have a team in the F4 this year I don't think most of the criticism is fair. I think football conference fans just want to destroy the brand of the Big East. ESPN has put a lot of effort also
