BE - Thur 2/25 - 2g, PC-Seton, SJ-DePaul....

2 games Thursday night:

Providence at Seton Hall, 7pm, FS1.
St John's at DePaul, 9pm, FS1.

If they haven't already, the winner of the Friars-Pirates game punches their NCAA ticket. The loser wil makecthe NCAA's anyway.

DePaul can solidify 9th place. Will be interesting to see how each team has progressed.

absolutely no way Seton Hall has made the tourney. They need to win 1 of these next 3 games quite frankly(other 2 with Xavier and Butler) For PC I think they win, they're safe.......

And so can St. John's who beat the Blue Demons by 15 just last week.

Yes, that's true. For some reason i thought DePaul already had 3 wins.
So a Johnnie win tonight will put them in 9th place.

   OMG.

And you wonder why people take turns playing whack a mole on your ridiculous posts? First he said if they win tonight, that would make SH 20-7 with 3 more games(including DePaul) and the BET left. Seton Hall is a LOCK if they get 21 wins. Period. End of story. Seriously if the Pirates were in any other conference besides the BE you would be singing a completely different tune. Again, OMG.

He said that if they haven't already, the winner of the game punches their NCAA ticket. That means that he thinks there's a chance they have punched their ticket already. And I think that's wrong. They need 2 more wins- because I agree with you 100%, if Seton Hall gets 21 wins, they are an absolute lock. I just don't think Seton Hall at 19 wins is in yet at all- and likely wouldn't be in at all.

Seton Hall has a clear and smooth path to the tourney. He's right with the current state of the bubble, 19 wins might be good enough. As long as the Pirates don't shit the bed they are in, meaning pretty much they'd have to lose out(5 games). Again, if they were in a different conference you would be singing their praises, but since they're a BE team you throw shade.

Well considering most of the bracketologists have them as one of the last 5-6 teams in, going 1-4 the rest of the way would be pretty tough. As I said on the other thread, a key is in these next 3 games, if they lose, to not get blown out- to keep their KP rating high....

The problem for Seton Hall even now at 19 wins- their OOC schedule wasn't good. They go 20-10 before the BET- their RPI is pushing 60. With a 235ish OOC SOS. With the conference wins being 2x Georgetown, DePaul, St John's, Marquette, and then 1 ea with Creighton and PC. Quite possibly only 2 wins vs teams in the tourney(if Wichita in fact makes it). They would quite possibly need to win their QF BET game to make the tourney.

"If they haven't already" was my quote, and as Westbrook correctly said, based on the weak bubble, the fact that Seton Hall has no bad losses (Long Beach is #94), the fact that they have wins against key teams like Ole Miss and Georgia (who bubble teams like Alabama and Vanderbilt have lost to), the fact that other bubble teams have more difficult paths (see Syracuse needing to win at Florida State, and Pitt needing to win at Georgia Tech), then there is a path, however unlikely you may think it is (see my word "if" again), where Seton Hall is all set.

Also, Wichita is a great win, it was with Van Vleet back.

Whatever, I don't feel like getting a headache over this. I just wrote a quick sentence while making a thread for tonight's games, and I didn't freakin pore over RPI Wizard for 45 minutes before doing so. Geesh.
