Hopefully the Xavier players know what Holtmann was trying to get across to his players.

That was my favorite in the huddle of the year this weekend. Holtmann - "I don't know how many times I have to tell you guys with Jenkins, stay on the ground"

It was funny to me cause I have been thinking that all year, Jenkins pump fakes every time he gets the ball and somehow every team still goes for it.

Not 100% sure, but I think the XU Scout site has a free podcast this week.

Oklahoma back in December, in an airplane hangar, five time zones away, was Nova's hardest game of the year to win.

Just FYI. Carry on.

Was that unique to Villanova?

Did Oklahoma not play against a Top 10 team in December, in an airplane hangar, 5 time zones away?

Didn't look like it affected Oklahoma as much as it affected Nova.

Pretty sure he just meant based on rpi, ranking, the fact that it wasn't at home and they have a front runner for npoy that the Oklahoma game was our most difficult on the schedule? Is it that crazy of a thing to say?

Wow, this is what I get for posting on the treadmill on my phone while running at 7 AM. Yes the post was meant to be extremely complimentary of Villanova who IMO has been dominant in the New Big East. The reactions to my innocuous post is the reason why so few people post on a message board such as this, and the board is dominated by a handful. It is nearly impossible to have a civil discussion.

That being said, looking forward to flying into Cincinnati for the game Wednesday Night. Go X

It's not a crazy thing to say, and I respect the opinion, but I still think it's wrong. A neutral court game is not looked at as favorably as a true road game. This is especially true when you consider that Cintas is annually rated as one of the hardest places to win on the road for opponents.
Always remember that you are unique; just like everyone else

A good game- Yes. Game of the year- Absolutely not. Maybe game of the year in the BE but not in college basketball. Hopefully I'm proven wrong, but until FS1 has a game that can dethrone the ESPN games, the typical basketball fan will not consider this the game of the year in college hoops.

In terms of the game, I think Villanova wins this game. Xavier is really good and keeps it close at the Cintas Center, but I just think Villanova is better.
